COPYRIGHT
DML's catalog is based on a huge collection of Public Domain music scores from historical editions and donations of single contributors and institutes. Our team of experienced music editors carefully revises each score received by our contributors and assesses its copyright status, before adding titles notes and copyright inscriptions. Each digital score acquired or distributed by DML is watermarked and remains the exclusive property of DML . Please note that it is strictly forbidden to redistribute any digital file copied or derived from the DML catalog prior to the written permission of DML .
If you have an objection concerning the intellectual property of any of our scores please send an email to legal@digitalmusiclibrary.com Our team will examine it and in case you are right, immediately remove the score in question from the catalog.
USER RIGHTS
Paying the subscription fee gives you a one-year licence to download and print any score (as from the first subscription day) and to make personal use of the printouts, including private/public performances and private/public teaching sessions. Please note that to reproduce a printout in a book or other publications you need the written permission of DML .
ACCOUNT
Each subscriber is identified by the DML system with his account data .
The account data are formed by a UNIQUE unchangeable number code called USER ID plus a PASSWORD any subscriber can change. The account data (USER ID and PASSWORD) are strictly personal and may not be handed over to others. Why?
DML Accounts are configured to work on a single computer at a time. If you hand your account data over to someone else, and he uses your account data to access DML, our system will find two or more users accessing DML simultaneously with the same account data. In this case you will not be able to access DML until the first user will log out.
If you have two or more computers (for instance home and office) and you want to access DML from both of them, you can not do so simultaneously . So, in this case you should remember to logoff on your first computer (once logged in, go in My account page and follow the link to log out) to allow your second computer to log in.
If you want to access DML from more than one computer at a time just open more accounts (for instance in the case of a School Studio with various computers accessing DML).
If you infringe our account policy and distribute your personal account data over the Internet or to any other person, you will give him the possibility to access the DML catalog in your place.
In this case once the first unauthorised user will access DML with your account data, you will be rejected by the DML system at your first following connection because there is another user that used your account. His computer will be now validated instead of yours.
Sharing the files with friends is highly risky. To open a DML score Acrobat asks you for a Password which is the same as for your account. Each sheet you print is watermarked with your USER ID. If you share the file with a friend you must give him your PASSWORD so he can open it; in this case he will also have your USER ID (watermarked on each page)…in other words all your account data will be available to him and he will be able to use them to access DML in your place.
Please note that DML will for no reason whatsoever give you a new
USER ID unless you pay the subscription fee again.
In the case you simply lost your USER ID, please send an email to help@digitalmusiclibrary.com and we will send you back your Account data to the email address you specified with your account.
DML reserves the right to terminate an account at any time during the subscription period without refund for infringements to the DML user policy.
